What Is a Tear Trough and How Do Under Eye Filler Work?

The tear trough is the area beneath the eyes where shadows, hollowness and dark circles commonly appear. Causes include genetics, aging, lifestyle factors and natural loss of fat in the area. As the fat pad decreases, blood vessels become more visible, creating darkness and a tired look.
